Awards encourage Scots companies to reach for the sky

The Scotsman

Scottish house builders will benefit from a high-profile national campaign to promote excellence in the profession with the launch of a new independent awards programme. The Scottish Home Awards, sponsored by the Dunfermline Building Society, will highlight the quality and diversity of new housing. From starter homes for first-time buyers to chic waterside apartments, and clever conversions to developments boasting the best green credentials, all will be eligible for entry. The ultimate award of the programme will be the House Builder of the Year Award. The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday have joined the campaign as media partners and will help to canvas house builders to nominate their developments for consideration. Readers will be able to nominate their house builders and comments will be passed to the judging panel for consideration alongside the home builder's entry.
