Ink Design proposes timber-clad showroom for furniture maker

Building Design

Glasgow practice Ink Design has applied for planning permission to create this striking timber showroom for a furniture designer in the city, which would be suspended above his workshop. The 78sq m extension would boast a fully glazed south-facing facade to showcase the award-winning designer’s work to passers-by. The front end of the larch-clad showroom would have a waiting area for clients, who will be able to see through a glazed roof down to the workshop below.
