Keppie revenues build to a record £13m

The Scotsman

High-profile commissions have helped Keppie Design, the largest architectural practice based in Scotland, to reach record revenues. The firm, founded by Charles Rennie Mackintosh together with John Keppie and John Honeyman more than 150 years ago, has reported a 24 per cent increase in revenues to £13 million in the year to 31 July. According to the company, the highlight of the year was the opening of Great Glen House, the new Scottish Natural Heritage headquarters in Inverness, which earned Keppie international recognition. The building was awarded the highest ever environmental rating - 84 per cent - by the Building Research Establishment, the UK's leading authority on sustainable construction and development.
