Mary Wrenn quits RIAS

Building Design

Mary Wrenn has resigned as chief executive of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland so she can be nearer to her husband Richard Parnaby, who works as a professor of architecture at the University of the West of England. Wrenn, who will leave the body in August after two years in the post, said she could not “commit to the length of time needed to steer the next phase of change for the RIAS”. Incoming RIAS president Arnie Dunn paid tribute to Wrenn, saying that she had led the incorporation through a “crucial stage in its development”.
