Following their 'Architecture Grand Prix' win at the recent Scottish Design Awards and RIBA Regional Award, Gareth Hoskins Architects have gone on to win a Royal Institute of British Architects National Award for The Bridge Arts Centre in Easterhouse, Glasgow. Announced at the Hilton in London on Friday night, the design was described as 'sensational and stunning' and as a truly accessible project that represented 'urban regeneration at its most powerful'. The new building provides a theatre, dance studio, recording studios, production suites, visual arts spaces, community library, cafe and the base for the National Theatre for Scotland, and linked to a wider complex of facilities including leisure and further education as the focal point within Glasgow City Council's Cultural Campus Project, and was the only project from Scotland to receive a National Award.
