Haymarket Station
Aedas has revealed three separate options for the redevelopment of Edinburgh's grade A listed Haymarket Station, including demolition. The practice has designed proposals costing between £50 million and £350 million for the 165-year-old structure, including one with a glazed concourse roof and another dealing solely with transport issues. The site, which is in need of modernisation, is just outside the world heritage area and adjacent to an old goods yard whose redevelopment is being masterplanned by Richard Murphy Architects.
