Museum architecture commended

The Shetland Times

The Scottish Executive has named Shetland Museum and Archives as one of the top examples of sustainable, high quality architecture in Scotland. The museum was commended for using recycled and salvaged materials in the building of its new museum project in the North Ness, Lerwick. The National Architecture Policy Document gave architects and designers five principles to stick to when designing public buildings, so they could be constructed to stand the test of time.
