RIAS Annual Convention 2007 in the Highlands Creative Responsibility: Home, Environment, Community

Creative Responsibility: Home, Environment, Community, is the theme of the 2007 RIAS Annual Convention, thaking place at various venues in Nairn and Inverness and timed to coincide with the Six Cities Festival of Design and Highland 2007 - the year that Scotland celebrates Highland culture. The programme begins on Thursday 17 May with an optional afternoon workshop on low-energy design featuring Scottish Natural Heritage headquarters. An evening reception offers a private view of New, Old, Green, an exhibition exploring timber design in Finnish architecture as well as the announcement of the 2007 RIBA Awards for Architecture in Scotland. The main Convention programme takes place on Friday 18 May and features masterclasses, a question panel on masterplanning and a debate on PFI.
