Architecture blueprint launched

The Scottish Executive's aspirations for the future of the country's architecture have been unveiled in Glasgow by the culture minister. Patricia Ferguson launched the blueprint for architectural excellent at an event at the Lighthouse, the centre for architecture and design. The strategy - Building Our Legacy - has five main objectives including the support of sustainable design. Examples of good design, such as the Maggie's Centres, are also highlighted. Clydebank Re-Built, the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, the Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh and the Saltire Centre at Glasgow Caledonian University are among other successful developments which feature.
