RIAS opens festival exhibition

The RIAS has opened its Festival Exhibition at 15 Rutland Square, Edinburgh, which will run until September 2. RIAS approached ten Past Presidents of the RIAS (PPRIAS), the current President, and six Chapter Presidents with a request to identify a place or building in Scotland that has special significance for them on a personal level.

The exhibition shows will show visitors, see through the eyes and memories of the RIAS members approached, the spaces and places that mean the most to them. In doing so, they have also provided a wonderful view of how much Scotland has to offer – boats, beaches, castles and even a transmitter.

RIAS would also like to know which of the places most appeals to you – either because you've been there, or because you would like to go there now. You may vote in person at the exhibition or email to info@rias.org.uk. The results will be posted on the RIAS website at the end of the 2006 Festival.

RIAS is grateful to all the contributors and to its sponsors, Hays Architecture, for making possible this celebration of Scotland's delightful spaces and places.
