BBC HQ to be transformed into hotel and homes

The A-listed Scottish headquarters of the BBC in Glasgow's west end will be transformed into a new hotel and new homes, the corporation has revealed. The BBC has announced that a joint-venture partnership led by Applecross is in place to redevelop the five-acre site, after the corporation moves to a new base on the south bank of the Clyde in July 2007.
