The radical design of one of Dundee's most recognisable buildings has put it in the frame to become the region's best-loved construction of the 80s. Dundee Rep Theatre in South Tay Street was designed by local firm Nicoll Russell Studios and yesterday one of the company's founders, Ric Russell, joined theatre chief James Brining to launch the public poll. Residents are being asked to vote for the first time for a category in the annual Dundee Institute of Architects' (DIA) awards and organisers have chosen to seek their views on Tayside's best building of the decade.
