A town's efforts to re-invent itself have won three top prizes at the Scottish Design Awards 2006 - a quarter of all those up for grabs. Clydebank Re-built, an urban regeneration company, took the prestigious Chairman's Award for its projects and for ground-breaking work with the community. Chairman of the jury, leading Scottish architect John McAslan, said he singled out Clydebank Re-built rather than an architecture firm because its work offers "significant hope for the future". Two more of the firm's projects - the John Knox Street workshops and Public Realm Improvement Scheme - also won top awards.
