The RIBA is inviting entries for the RIBA Awards 2006. The awards are open to buildings in the UK, completed and occupied between 1 January 2004 and 2 March 2006 by RIBA members, or practices of which one principal is an RIBA member.
As well as being a significant achievement in their own right, RIBA Award-winners go on to be considered for the RIBA's special prizes and the Stirling Prize, the UK's most prestigious architectural prize. All projects, large and small, are equally eligible.
In 2006 the RIBA is launching a new series of awards to recognise the work of our members in the rest of the world. The RIBA European Awards will award the best new buildings in the European Union, and these awards will go on to be eligible for the Stirling Prize. The RIBA International Awards recognise excellence in the rest of the world, and the winners will go onto be eligible for the new RIBA Lubetkin Prize, for the most outstanding building outside the UK and the EU.
These awards are an excellent opportunity to get your work recognised ; the winning schemes will be announced at a high-profile gala dinner at the London Hilton in June, and published in The Architects' Journal.
