Architect explains river museum project
The architect and designer of Glasgow's multi-million pound Riverside Museum is to give a keynote lecture at the city's architectural festival, 2005 Block, explaining the ideas behind the creation. Located near the £500m Glasgow Harbour site at the confluence of the River Clyde and River Kelvin, the museum will be a centrepiece of the Clyde's regeneration and is expected to open in 2009. It is Zaha Hadid's second project in Scotland after the £400,000 Maggie Centre in Kirkcaldy.
