The designer and architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh is being revamped for a digital audience to mark what would have been his 137th birthday. Personal digital assistants (PDAs) are being distributed in six of his most famous buildings in Glasgow for the use of visitors. The hand-held computers contain information on Mackintosh's life, work and a link to his website. The PDAs will be unveiled at the Queen's Cross Church on Tuesday. The technology will be available at all Mackintosh attractions in the city by next year.
