A new masterplan has been revealed to redevelop Glasgow's Pacific Quay. Project bosses say the plans are so ambitious, they could create a new focal point for the city. The site was dubbed Scotland's "media village" after it was chosen to house the new BBC and Scottish Television headquarters. But now councillors have given the go ahead to allow the area to be used for business, residential, retail, hotel and commercial developments. The new plans also include the upgrade of Festival Park, and the creation of more public spaces in the areas leading to the waterfront.
