Edinburgh Evening News

A new group tasked with championing architecture and design in Scotland is to be officially launched on Monday. Architecture and Design Scotland has been established by the Scottish Executive as the national champion for good architecture and design. The launch of the organisation at The Lighthouse in Glasgow will be attended by Patricia Ferguson, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport, and top designers from across Scotland. Renowned Edinburgh architect Malcolm Fraser, who designed the award-winning Dance Base, has been appointed deputy chair of the new group.
