Dozens of derelict buildings in Aberdeen could pose a threat to public safety, experts are warning. Their caution follows the removal of a 6ft spike from a rooftop in Rosemount, which was seen swaying in high wind by the public. There were about 20 incidents of dangerous buildings reported in Aberdeen last year. In three cases the council had to take enforcement action. Aberdeen Civic Society is backing calls for regular checks on old buildings.
