Development plans for a large multiple-use office block and arcade on the site of the former goods yard at Morrison Street were recently given the go-ahead by the city council. The controversial proposal to build on this site at Haymarket was granted planning permission following rounds of discussions and revisions of plans, which the Cockburn Association has been involved in. Despite substantial amendments to the plans, including a reduction of the height of the building of around six metres, is this really what we want for Edinburgh?
