Architects of the Gherkin add spice to waterfront plan

The Scotsman

The architects behind bold new plans for London's highest tower have been appointed to create a "bold, imaginative vision" for Edinburgh's waterfront development. Ken Shuttleworth and John Prevc, whose earlier work for Sir Norman Foster has won critical acclaim, are among those providing new ideas for the site, part one of Scotland's biggest regeneration programmes. The pair, who work for a new firm Make, are to create a masterplan for the north Edinburgh development, which is part of a wider effort to transform a derelict, contaminated and underused part of the city into a world-class living and working environment.
