The owners of a crumbling, "iconic" art deco building in Craigmillar face being ordered to carry out emergency work to stop it falling into further disrepair. The category B-listed White House pub remains one of the best-known buildings in Craigmillar, despite suffering years of neglect. Now city officials are urging councillors to take legal action to force the building's owners to carry out urgent repairs. They are recommending the local authority serves a repair notice on city-based Britestart Limited.
