Mackintosh's plastic plaque to receive the designer treatment
He is one of Glasgow's most famous sons, but all that marks his resting place is a plastic plaque in north London. Among thousands of identical brown markers set in 12 acres of gardens at Golders Green Crematorium is one bearing the inscription: "Charles Rennie Mackintosh. architect, artist, and designer. 7 June 1868 to 10 December 1928."
