Saving the Children's Cathedral
It has forever been known as the "Children's Cathedral", an architectural gem, that served not the rich but the destitute and unloved. But, 116 years after it was built, Mount Zion church, a unique place of worship in Scotland, faced ruin. Created by the Victorian philanthropist, William Quarrier, it was central to the vision of his "village", a pioneering orphanage for slum urchins that became world famous and still helps children.
