Student flats and cafes spilling out on to an open courtyard are among plans unveiled today for the former Odeon Cinema. Three leading city architects have drawn up their visions for a competition designed to breathe new life into the famous Southside cinema, which closed its doors last year. The blueprints for the key site in Clerk Street - which all see the landmark cinema frontage retained - go on show in a public exhibition tonight organised by the Odeon's developers. The winning architect is expected to be chosen for the rejuvenation of the redundant building in the next few weeks.
