Glasgow bids for tallest building in Scotland

The Evening Times

This is the first sight of a spectacular £100million project that could become Scotland's tallest building. The 440ft Glasgow city centre building - the equivalent of 30 double-decker buses stacked one on top of the other - would house luxury flats, offices, shops and a swimming pool. Planners want to erect the 39-storey building on the site of the old Strathclyde Regional Council headquarters at the junction of India Street and St Vincent Street.
