Reaching for the sky with a £100m plan

The Herald

Glasgow yesterday unveiled its new £100m trump card in the race to beat Edinburgh to build the tallest skyscraper in Scotland. Developers revealed their plans for a landmark 440 ft (134 metre) building in St Vincent Street which would replace the former Strathclyde Regional Council offices. In a similar development, Forth Ports is considering a 35 to 40-storey glass residential and hotel complex on the Leith waterfront.
