Capital's planners told to learn lessons from Barcelona

The Scotsman

A major conference of architects in Edinburgh is to be told how planners in the capital can learn from leading European cities such as Barcelona. A gathering of designers next week will hear from David MacKay, who masterminded the Spanish city's Olympic village and port in the early 1990s. The move comes as Edinburgh's progressive planning convener, Trevor Davies, continues to push for higher standards in new buildings.
