Expert doubts Holyrood will be ready on time

It may be a building due for completion within four months, but last night a leading expert admitted he was sceptical that the Scottish parliament would be completed on time. Despite high-profile promises that it will be ready by August and officially opened by the Queen in October, the main feature of the new parliament is acres of scaffolding. Peter Wilson, of the Manifesto Foundation for Architecture at Napier University and a long-time critic of the project's management, said yesterday, having just taken his latest look at the Scottish parliament: "I am very sceptical of claims that it will be ready in just four months.
