The leading architect who has been named as Edinburgh's first design champion is suing one of the council's development companies. Documents lodged at the Court of Session show that Sir Terry Farrell, head of Terry Farrell and Partners, is pursuing legal action against Shawfair Developments. It is understood the case relates to a dispute over fees. Shawfair was set up by Edinburgh Council, Midlothian Council and Miller Group to develop what has been described as the "south-east wedge", a huge swathe of green-belt land earmarked for almost 5000 homes.
