Glasgow School of Art could be forced to move after a review of its buildings found it would cost several million pounds to bring them up to standard. Even the main building, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and internationally renowned, could close. It is the most robust of the school's 11 structures, largely due to its heritage status and grants from Historic Scotland, but GSA authorities have not ruled out closing it along with other satellite buildings to allow the school to relocate.
