Miralles 'flew into rage' over parliament cuts

An attempt to cut the spiralling costs of the new Scottish parliament led to furious exchanges between its controversial architect and the rest of the Holyrood design team. Newly released documents from the Holyrood inquiry reveal that designers tried to reduce costs and submitted an alternative set of drawings. But when Enric Miralles learnt of the alterations he flew into a rage, and a team from Scotland had to visit him in Barcelona for a face-to-face talks.
