Builder says flats fight not over yet
Protesters are facing a fresh battle against controversial plans to build dozens of flats in the shadow of the Forth Road Bridge. More than 140 residents and groups objected to the plans for 121 homes up to seven storeys tall in South Queensferry amid fears the scheme would spoil the picturesque gateway into the Capital. But housebuilding giant Miller Homes today confirmed it had appealed against a decision by Edinburgh City Council chiefs last month, who told the company they would not give the scheme the go-ahead.
