One of the world's finest architects has been called on to help reverse some of Scotland's most disastrous planning decisions. Frank Gehry, whose glittering achievements include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, has been asked by Dundee to help redesign the city's blighted waterfront. The city's position on the Tay offers the potential for a stunning skyline, but the opportunity has been thrown away in recent decades by piecemeal, ugly development.
