Let me be Frank

The Scotsman

Frank Gehry is a dreamer, which is not to say that one of the world's leading architects has his head in the clouds. The 74-year-old sleeps well at night, although he often has dreams about the extraordinary buildings he's designing, from the Bilbao Guggenheim to the controversial new Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. But his most vivid dreams of late have been visited by a much loved, much missed friend from Scotland to whose memory his latest creation - his first in Britain - is dedicated.
