Ferry shelter tipped for architecture honour

The Scotsman

A giant hangar sheltering vessels on an exposed Scottish island is going head to head with a £30 million hotel in a battle to find the country's best new building. But the ferry shelter on the island of Tiree has emerged as a favourite, ahead of Glasgow's Radisson SAS Hotel after it, too, was nominated for a prestigious UK prize. The two buildings were included on a shortlist of five candidates drawn up by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS).
