Architecture of Angus
Angus (Aonghas in Gaelic) is one of the 32 local government council areas of Scotland, and a lieutenancy area. Angus was historically a county (known officially by its anglicised title of Forfarshire until 1928) until 1975 when it became a district of the Tayside Region. In 1996 the region was abolished and Angus was established as a unitary authority.
